September was a big month for the Susan Ellison team! Not only was Dr. Ellison able to attend a global seminar in Madrid, but we celebrated Iris Alfaro’s 2nd Anniversary!
Iris is our scheduling coordinator, but her background in dentistry goes way back! For the last 6 years, Iris has spent time as a dental assistant but realized she loved dental administration and has really flourished in our office. She brings a lot of knowledge and fun to the team – here’s a bit more about her.
Q & A with Iris Alfaro
Q: Why did you decide to work at the front desk for a dental office?
A: I love working with patients directly to help them get the best benefits they can from their insurance.
Q: Did you have a favorite dentist when you were a kid?
A: I did! My pediatric dentist made me wonder what it would be like to work in a dental office.
Q: If you could be a tooth, which one would you be?
A: I would be a front anterior tooth like #8 because it is one of the first ones you see!
Q: What is your favorite flavor of toothpaste?
A: Mint
Q: If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
A: Los Angeles because the weather is amazing!
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Right here in Houston, Texas!
Q: Mountains or beaches?
A: Beaches!
